Partners Briana Lundman and Michael Vanags began the company, when they recognized that many employees had misunderstanding about safety precautions.
To encourage greater safety awareness in the industry, they developed the Sonic method with the following intentions:
- We provide companies with caring and trusted health testing professionals
- We train these certified technicians to deliver efficient tests and counseling in the field
- We travel to your site in our mobile testing unit, to catch workers on, during or after shifts – this ensures that testing is convenient, and centralized
- We bundle our testing to save you time: we fit custom hearing protection and conduct hearing tests at the same time
- We remind you when your records are due for retests or other updating
Sonic Onsite remains family owned and operated, and is built on over 10 years of industry experience and reputation as Custom Protect Ear’s dB Blocker® products.
We’ve enjoy building close and friendly relationships with our clients and their workers and rely on open communication, and genuine interest in serving our client’s safety needs and awareness.
We aim to develop our company culture to favour caring attitudes and services that will make Sonic an invaluable asset for your Safety needs: we explain all our procedures, and their significance to those we test; education is the best strategy to support OH&S standards onsite.
“..Sonic onsite testing came out to our facility on short notice with a smile and a more than positive attitude! He was more than happy to educate our workers on the proper use of hearing protection using audiometric testing and took the time to explain his process to staff. Mike’s knowledge of spirometry, fit testing and the ability to match these services to our needs was an exceptional help to boost the ongoing growth of our Safety Program. It was a pleasure doing onsite testing with Sonic OnSite Services and will encourage colleagues to do the same!

Industrial hearing protection among people in the construction industry
Hearing loss amongst workers in the construction industry is quite common and preventable with proper hearing protection such as a DB blocker. It is not at all a surprise that construction industry professionals run the risk of greater hearing loss than most. Constant exposure to loud noise without adequate hearing protection such as a DB blocker over the span of many months and years contributes to noise-induced hearing loss.

Spirometry - New respiratory guidance documents
OSHA and NIOSH have created two guidance documents, one for workers and one for employers, showing how the use of spirometry testing will reduce and prevent workers' exposure to respiratory hazards. To catch changes of problems in lung function, spirometry is the industry standard testing method. Inhaling some types of dusts, gases, or other air contaminants can damage lungs. The spirometry test may detect breathing problems or significant changes in a worker's lung function at an early stage.
